Description
FY21 STRI FIRE SPRINKLER HEAD REPLACMENT The National Park Service, Southeast Region, West Major Acquisition Buying Office, hereby issues a combined synopsis/solicitation for a requirement for the Stones River National Battlefield. The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a Fire Sprinkler contractor to replace the quick response and/or dry sprinkler heads that have exceeded their useful life and relocate existing heads that are not at code height and install new heads in areas with no coverage in the Stones River National Battlefield. The goal is to replace all quick response and/or dry fire sprinkler heads meeting the requirements for replacement in accordance with 2020 NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems, chapter 5. The installed quick response fire sprinkler heads are at least 20 years old. The installed dry sprinkler heads are at least 10 years old. Stones River National Battlefield has elected to replace all of the outdated fire sprinkler heads rather than perform the testing procedures outlined in the 2020 NFPA 25. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $5,000 - $20,000. Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wages for Rutherford County, Tennessee will apply. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220. It is the contractor�s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This Acquisition shall result in award of a firm fixed price contract expected to be awarded by early August 2021. Evaluation factors: The selection will be made by evaluating proposals based on cost, technical approach and relevant experience. See clause section for weighting of these three evaluation factors. Bidders must be able to provide references of applicable experience in order to receive the award.
