Description
FY21 JELA HAZARDOUS TREE REMOVAL AT CHALMETTE The National Park Service, Southeast Region, West Major Acquisition Buying Office, hereby issues a combined synopsis/solicitation for a requirement for the Chalmette National Cemetery located within the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. It is the intent of this contract to provide hazardous tree and limb removal in the Chalmette National Cemetery and Battlefield. The primary objective of this project is to mitigate potential hazards to people and property resulting from falling trees or tree parts that may be created by the subject trees. Within the cemetery we have five (5) trees with hanging hazardous branches that need to be removed, one (1) hazardous tree with a dead portion that needs the dead portion removed, and one tree stump that needs to be removed. In addition to this, all trees within the cemetery shall be trimmed to a height of 10� clearance from the ground for the trees within the cemetery grounds and 15� clearance from the ground for the trees along the cemetery road. Within the Chalmette Battlefield the road that leads to our black powder Magazine will be cleared of any hazardous tree and limb along the road. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $12,000 - $22,000. Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wages for St. Bernard Parish, LA will apply. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 561730. It is the contractor�s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This Acquisition shall result in award of a firm fixed price contract expected to be awarded by early August 2021. Evaluation factors: The selection will be made by evaluating proposals based on cost, technical approach and relevant experience. See clause section for weighting of these three evaluation factors. Bidders must be able to provide references of applicable experience in order to receive the award.
