Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,� as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-RML-2083207 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-06 July 12, 2021. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. The requirement is being competed full and open with a brand name or equal restriction.� The small business set aside is dissolved for this requirement. Must be able to dissociate animal tissues into single-cell suspensions for cellular analyses with �C tubes� (e.g., single-cell RNAseq, FACS, Cytometry), and generate homogenates for bulk molecular analyses of tissues with �M tubes� (e.g., RNAseq, qRT-PCR, western blot). Must be able to perform dissociation or homogenization in individual closed, sterile systems, with no aerosolization of infectious material and no cross-contamination. Must be able to simultaneously use at least 8 (eight) tube position with independent programs for all 8 samples. Must have dissociation programs for: mouse neonatal heart neural tissue� mouse spleen, lung, lamina propria, epidermis, and liver mouse skeletal muscle Must have homogenization programs designed for: Total RNA or mRNA isolation from fresh or frozen samples, and Protein extraction, and Determination of bacterial or viral loads, and Mitochondria isolation. Must have the capability to perform semi-automatically. Must be able to heat samples for optimal temperature control for processing and incubation of tissues with various enzymes such as collagenase. Must have variable rotation speeds with clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation, including low rotation speeds (as low as 20 RPM) for fragile cell types and higher, higher speeds (up to 4000 rpms) to dissociate more difficult tissues.
