Description
Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information Certification and Maintenance of Airborne Infection Isolation Room This Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information (RFI) is being issued to assist the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in identifying sources capable of providing certification and maintenance of airborne infection isolation rooms. A total of seventy-three (73) airborne infection isolation rooms from nineteen (19) Detention Facilities will require annual maintenance and certification to ensure the proper airflow and calibration of the negative pressure system with the below qualifications. The vendor should be able to provide annual certification, preventive maintenance services and analysis of the Airborne Infection Isolation Room with high efficiency particulate air filtration units including but not limited to the following: A written test report Overall inspection and review of gauges Ultrafine particle count for efficiency of HEPA core filter Airflow measurements Estimated room clearance rate and condition Changing of pre-filters and ultraviolet bulbs Calibration of monitor Determine whether or not the design of the HVAC system for detention area complies with the latest edition of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc and the latest edition of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for preventing the transmission of tuberculosis within the detention facility. If the initial inspection finds the ventilation/negative pressure system insufficient to meet CDC guidelines, the vendor will provide in writing the nature of the deficiency and possible recommendations to either repair or replace the system.� This estimate should include all associated costs in order to meet the necessary requirements. DHS/ICE is seeking 8(a) small business sources capable of fulfilling the above requirements. Interested parties having the necessary capabilities are invited to participate. Your capability statement should include short statements regarding your company's ability to provide the tasking for each of the requirements outlined above. Please limit your total response to this RFI to 3 pages, excluding any title pages, index, or table of contents. Responses should be submitted in a Microsoft Word Document (.doc or .docx) or a Portable Document Format (.pdf). As part of your capability statement please provide the Company�s DUNS number, socio-economic status, and a point of contact. �NOTICE: This RFI is being issued solely for information and planning purposes, it DOES NOT constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Request for Proposal (RFP)/Invitation to Bid (IFB) or a promise to issue a RFQ/RFP/IFB in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to a contract/order for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, the Government is not seeking quotes/proposals/bids at this time and will not accept unsolicited quotes/proposals/bids. Responders are advised that the Government will not reimburse for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested parties� expense. The information requested is for the purpose of market research ONLY in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Unless advised or indicated on the responses to this RFI, all information furnished will be considered nonproprietary. Contractors are encouraged to provide any questions and/or comments no later than 27�July 2021, 12:00 PM (Noon) Easter Time.
