- Statement of Work / Project Synopsis Project #: 538-16-101 Project Title: RENOVATE BUILDING-25 TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY Synopsis: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing items, furnish labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform all work for project number 538-16-101, Renovate Building 25 to Improve Efficiency at VAMC Chillicothe, Ohio as required by drawings and specifications. Contractor shall complete all new construction which includes but not limited to architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, information technology, and plumbing for the construction, demolition, renovation, and site work associated with the renovation as well as other work as shown and specified. This project shall renovate existing space and build an addition to existing building 25, site work upgrades, renovations for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, security and fire protection work as specified. The work also includes demolition of existing buildings being vacated after the renovation of building 25 as shown and specified. Existing elements in the space shall be demolished with debris being removed from the site. Asbestos Abatement, mold remediation and cleanup, and Lead Based Paint Removal and disposal are included in the specified elements of work. The renovated areas shall have mechanical, electrical, limited roofing, and limited structure additions. The site shall have building and other demolition, grading, site establishment of permanent vegetation, new accessible walks, pavements, fencing and site utility work. The work shall include infection control and dust prevention measures as well as noise and vibration from construction reduction measures. The work shall be phased to accommodate the Medical Centers on-going operations. Multiple outages that must be pre-coordinated with the medical center will be required. Base bid work to be completed within 600 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
