Description

Notice of Intent to Award Sole-Source. Purchase of specialized rims and rim adapters for military wheeled vehicles. W91ZLK21R0032. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract to Alicat Scientific, Inc. Cage Code: 62161. US Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), requires the purchase of specialized rims and rim adapters for military wheeled vehicles and other requirements listed in the purchase description. The specialized wheels are used by Aberdeen Test Center to integrate with instrumentation for engineering data collection during testing on the listed military vehicles. This testing requirement item is used to improve the way Army conducts durability testing on military vehicles. Hutchinson Industries, Inc., is currently the sole provider of specialized wheels used by Aberdeen Test Center. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 336390. � Posting date of this requirement is 23 July, 2021. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, 13 August, 2021. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis for the required Supplies/Services.
