- Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source � Leica Multi-Plate Crystal Imaging System Description(s): The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to Government Scientific Source, 12351 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191, for a Leica Multi-Plate Crystal Imaging System, to be used in research at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus. The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1,000 Employees. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Government Scientific Source, is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required equipment and no other equipment will satisfy the agency's requirements. The purpose of this Purchase Order is to obtain a Leica Multi-Plate Crystal Imaging System from Leica. The Formulatrix Rockimager182 is the only multi-plate crystal imaging system that comes with at least 180 plate capacity and an individual light paths for UV and visible light that allows for a 1x12 optical zoom with color images and polarization. This system can fit through our coldroom door of 34""x78"" and fit on the desktop without modification of the coldroom. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS� requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by within 10 days of this posting, may be considered.� Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Christopher Fisher at Christopher.fisher@nih.gov and are due within 5 days of this posting.
