Description

This is an award notice and not a solicitation. This notice makes available the Justification and Approval for limiting sources in accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(2), Exception to Fair Opportunity Process. The General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), National Capital Region (NCR), Contracting Office Division (COD), on behalf of the Army National Guard (ARNG), awarded a sole-source, labor-hour type, �bridge task order to SAIC for support operations and maintenance of two mission-critical ARNG personnel systems; (1) the Reserve Component Manpower System � Guard (RCMS-G) and (2) the Strength Maintenance Management System (SMMS), to maintain its cyber security compliance and to perform critical data operations in order to facilitate competition for a future support requirements. The limiting of sources is in accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(2), in which �The rationale is the agency need for the supplies or services is so urgent that providing a fair opportunity would result in unacceptable delays IAW FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(A). The approved Justification for exception �to fair opportunity is provided with this notice.
