A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Description The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to solicit The Boeing Company (Boeing), 14441 Astronautics Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92647-2080, for the procurement of an Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) Test Asset System under contract N00024-17-C-6307. Finally, this action will potentially include a payload capability upgrade for the baseline XLUUV system. As the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the XLUUV system, Boeing is the only known source capable of providing the required test vehicle system to the Navy in the time period required to support program testing requirements. The statutory authority for this procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, and no other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
