- This is a Sources Sought only posting. Interested Vendors should list themselves as interested on this FBO posting orcontact John Azevedo. SLAC is looking for a qualified and experienced Architectural & Engineering (A&E)� Design Team to work closely with SLAC to deliver a high-quality engineering services and designs which should meet the CRMF project requirements, the Laboratory standards, and governing codes.� The project consists of Conceptual Design Report of CRMF Facility and evaluation of potential two sites within SLAC Campus. This scope of work involves site evaluation, planning and development, removal of an existing building structure, services including civil, mechanical, and electrical utility systems to provide new infrastructure services to CRMF facility. Project requirements includes but is not limited to the following: Section 1 - Introduction contains background on the Laboratory, proposed project location, and operation of the CRMF facility. Section 2 - CRMF Project Scope contains excerpts from the CRMF Feasibility Report (FR) prepared in 2019. The discussion includes portions of the various site infrastructure systems that will require some site modification to meet the CRMF Project requirements. The Feasibility Report was prepared for other site locations and shall be used as reference. Section 3 - Project Cost contains the Laboratory�s design to cost requirement for the scope; the requirement to provide scope contingency; the process for validating the A/E cost estimate; and cost change reporting requirements. Section 4 - Schedule contains the performance schedule for the design contract. Section 5 - Quality Control Plan contains the Quality Assurance/Quality Control requirements for this contract. Section 6 - Architect and Engineering Tasks list the general tasks to be completed by the selected Architect/Engineering firm or team of firms (A/E). Section 7 - Sustainable Design contains the sustainability requirements for this contract. Section 8 - SLAC Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), required by SLAC to meet its regulatory and contractual requirements. Within this program are the environmental and safety requirements including a link to SLAC�s Environmental, Health and Safety website for additional information, requirements, and policies and procedures. Section 9 - Reference Standards contains the codes and standards applicable to this contract. Section 10 - Attachments contains the deliverable matrix, Attachment ""A"", and a list of other attachments and references for this Statement of Work. In summary, the Infrastructure system(s) conceptual designs to be provided shall include civil/structural, architectural, mechanical wet and dry side systems, and electrical power distribution. The Room Data Sheets (RDS) listed in section 10.2 will be provided after award. The successful A/E firm shall provide a comprehensive CDR report and supporting documents to support the future detailed design of infrastructure for the testing, repair, and maintenance of Cryomodules in a new CRMF facility.
