Description

OL:H/PZIOA, Hill AFB, Operational Contracting intends to award a Sole Source contract to the University of Utah for the Curation of archeological remain located at the museum of natural history in Salt Lake City, UT,�in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 712110, the business size standard is $30,000,000.00. � Since the Natural History Museum of Utah is the only curatorial facility within Utah that meets federal requirements for curation standards, and solely houses Hill AFB and Utah Test and Training Range archaeological remains, including the already existing Old River Bed Delta collection, it is the only facility with the capability to fully and completely meet Hill AFB needs.� Therefore, it can be assumed that their costs are fair and reasonable. Placing archaeological remains at another facility out of state would include increased costs in initial travel fees, reposit and transfer fees, as well as annual monitoring travel and tdy fees, greatly increasing the cost.� � This notice is neither a request for quote nor a solicitation of offers. However, any Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating a vendor's bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Requests must include company name, address, telephone and facsimile numbers of the requester, e-mail address, Cage code and business size. All questions should be delivered via e-mail to jeffery.eggleston@us.af.mil, no later than 1500 MST 18 July 2021.
