- Description
- The purposeof this RFI is to identify industry partners who can offer IP- enabled, VULOS, software defined radios (SDR) dual-band communication capabilities that can meet the functional requirements supporting a modern National Security Agency (NSA) Type 1 COMSEC that is compliant with the VACM (VINSON (VHF [Very High Frequency] / UHF [Ultra High Frequency] Wideband Tactical Secure Voice System Cryptographic Equipment) - ANDVT (Advanced Narrowband Digital Voice Terminal) Cryptographic Modernization architecture (e.g., KY-100M, KY-58M). The VULOS transceivers must be compatible with HAVEQUICK I/II and SATURN 3 waveforms. The delivery threshold (T) goal is to field IP-enabled VULOS transceivers capabilities within a 12 month period after receipt of order (ARO) with an objective (O) delivery goal of six (6) months or less from contract award. Transceiver candidates are required to meet the U.S. and NATO modernization mandates for Foreign Partners by January 2024. RFI Submission: VULOS Communications Product Capabilities and Maturity 1.1 Provide nominated IP-enabled VULOS transceiver description and capabilities. 1.2 Provide examples of where and how long the nominated IP-enabled VULOS transceivers are currently being used in an operational environment. 1.3 Provide experiences and examples of implementing/fielding and supporting the nominated IP-enabled VULOS transceiver capabilities. 1.4 Provide risks and issues with implementing the nominated IP-enabled VULOS transceiver capabilities in a Voice Communications System (VCS) and network-enabled infrastructures. 1.5 Provide experiences and risks with implementing the nominated IP-enabled VULOS transceiver capabilities to satisfy National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. 1.6 Describe any specific dependencies associated with the nominated IP-enabled VULOS transceivers capabilities. 1.7 Complete Attachment 1 IP-enabled VULOS LOS Transceiver General Information and Queries Feedback Form 1.8 Provide rough order of magnitude and/or estimated cost for delivering discrete voice and data communications systems in expedited timelines. 2. RFI Submission Instructions Interested parties are requested to respond to this RFI by providing requisite information/documentation regarding the nominated IP-enabled VULOS transceiver communications system utilizing the construct as presented in Table 1 (located in RFI document).
