Description

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price task order for for welding repairs on a USCG small boat. Company Name: Al Larson Boat Shop (Small business under NAICS 336611) An attempt to solicit local vendors was made. (See attached justification [JOTFOC]) The total estimated value is less than $21000.00 This sole source contracting action is in accordance with Federal Aquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(2)(b) (urgent and expert services) and 6.303-2 modified to reflect procedures in 13.5 (a)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of�this requirement.� Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be� advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the� mission objectives. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the� Government.� Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining� whether to conduct a competitive solicitation for future requirements regarding this service type within a 100 mile radius of Los Angeles California. The Government will not be responsible for any costs� incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
