Description
WARD MOUNTAIN CHAINING The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office has a requirement for contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies and materials, except for specified Government-furnished materials and property, to chain 1,991 acres of pinyon and juniper on public lands near Ely, Nevada. There may be up to an additional 1,033 acres indicated as an option item that would be awarded subject to available funding. Work required will be a double pass chaining with the second pass conducted in the opposite direction as the first pass. Seeding bitterbrush seed using government provided dribblers mounted to the dozers will be required on the second pass. The Government will apply other seed to the site after the first pass is completed, and prior to the second pass. The chaining units intersect open roads and trails. It will be the contractor�s responsibility to clear vegetation from the roads and trails following the completion of the chaining. The Solicitation will include contract documents with details of the project when it is released. The project is located in White Pine County, Nevada. Service Contract Act (SCA) Wage Rate Requirements are applicable to this project and the appropriate SCA Wage Decision(s) will be included in the solicitation. The BLM will issue a Total Small Business Set-Aside competitive solicitation on/about August 10, 2021. The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. The competitive solicitation, 140L3921R0014, will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19.5, Set-Asides for Small Business. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 115310, Support Activities for Forestry, Fuels Management Services and the size standard is $20.5M (per the SBA�s Table of Small Business Size Standards). A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package will be available electronically on or about Monday August 16, 2021 at the SAM website located at www.sam.gov. Proposals will be due no later than Friday September 3, 2021. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring www.sam.gov for the release of the solicitation package, for any other pertinent information, and for downloading a complete copy of the solicitation package. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered, and currently active, and complete the online Representations and Certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base via website: http://www.sam.gov. Award will be based on Best Value to the Government in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror(s). This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The primary Point of Contact is Matthew B.
