Peters VA Medical Center Bronx, NY POC: Mariangie Rivera, email Mariangie.Rivera@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO ALPHA SOURCE GROUP, INC. Market research was conducted and determined that Alpha Source, Inc is the only vendor capable of providing the GE Healthcare BMD equipment parts and the service provider for installation, warranty, and post-warranty necessary for the equipment GE Lunar iDXA to meet compliance. All items must be OEM quality. Alpha Source Group is the only provider that provides OEM GE parts, as they are the preferred partnership agreement that we have in place with GE and all of our maintenance field service engineers are GE certified. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists, and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. The government MAY consider all Expressions of Interest (EOI) received prior to August 06, 2021. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to Mariangie.Rivera@va.gov and must be received by 12:00 PM EST on August 12, 2021. Submitters are responsible for ensuring that their EOI reaches the designated Contracting Specialist on-time. See attached Statement of Work below for additional details. STATEMENT OF WORK Title GE Lunar iDXA Comprehensive contract Background Dual energy x-ray absorptiometry is the gold standard for measuring areal bone mineral density in multiple clinically significant anatomical regions. This technology is also well validated to assess fat and lean tissue mass with multiple software options that can perform advanced measures of body composition that have significant clinical application. Objectives Given the sophistication of the software and the many movable parts in this system, as well as its frequent use for two of our research center s testing protocols, an annual service contract is required to keep the system running and repaired quickly when necessary. Performance Period Base Year with an estimated start date September 27, 2021 Sept. 26, 2022 with a provisional four (4) Option Years. The dual energy x-ray absorptiometer units to be covered are model iDXA, System I.D. # ME+200315 and # ME+200338. Details of Required Coverage: Service must be provided between the hours of: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, excluding weekends and observed holidays. The primary service shall include on site remedial service, as required due to equipment malfunction, and part replacement. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Must be performed annually between the hours of: 8:00am 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, excluding weekends and observed holidays. Genuine OEM Repair Parts: Must be Included X-Ray Tubes: Must be Included Response Time: Phone response within one (1) hour of initial call. On-site response time, if necessary, within 72 hours from receipt of call (During contract Primary Service hours). Service labor must be included Certification /Training Level 1 Technical Support: Technical support must be provided by certified and trained field engineers Travel Technician travel must be included Government-Furnished Property, Material, Equipment, or Information (GFP, GFM, GFE, or GFI): There is no government furnished property being provided to the contractor. Security Considerations: There are no unique security requirements associated with the contract performance.
