Description
Solicitation: 36C24421Q0987, Questions and Answers Date: 7/29/2021 Question: D. Performance Requirements 1. Perform annual load bank testing and certification in accordance with the standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) on all emergency generators listed.                 2. Provide Manufacture s recommended maintenance on all generators and equipment prior to load bank testing. Would you be able to expand upon this further? Does this mean that you would like all of the oil, filters, etc. changed on the units in addition to the loadbank? Answer: This maintenance  would be an annual maintenance (Full PM) according to manufactures specifications.   Additionally, confirming that all loadbanks are 1.5 hours only. Answer: Yes 1.5 hr. NFPA and Joint commission requirement for annual testing.  Question: Under section A.2 Delivery Schedule , do you have any specific dates in mind you d like the work to be done? We would work with you on what dates work best for you to the best of our ability. Just want to make sure that section is correct. Answer: We are anticipating an award being made beginning of August so we would like to schedule service for August/September. Question: Where are the units located? Are they all inside in a boiler/mechanical room or are any outside? Answer: In Generator Bldg. at CLC, Outside Enclosure Bldg. #3, Rooftop at Dialysis. Question: How many transfer switches (if any) are with each unit? Answer: 4 CLC,1 Bldg.3, 2 Dialysis. Question: Just wanted to double check about if a Full Service (changing oil, filters, etc.) is to be done beforehand.  Answer: Yes as stated prior to load bank testing Question: Under Section E: Solicitation Provisions, so there will be one electronic file for the quote, then one each for sections B, C, D and E? On the Price section, would that just be the total amount of what s listed in the entire A.1 Price/Cost Schedule ? Answer: You can send the email directly to April.Stanch@va.gov. Separate pricing for base year and each option period.
