Description

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE This is not a request for quotes; the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8-San Juan, Puerto Rico is currently conducting a market survey for potential small business qualified firms capable of providing the necessary labor, materials, supervision, protective clothing, inspections, equipment and reports necessary to perform Unarmed Security Guards Services for nine (9) of the VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) facilities, seven (7) located throughout Puerto Rico and two (2) of them in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 561612. Responses to this notice shall include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact. Contractors should provide their size status for the above references NAICS code. (i.e. small, large) and whether they are certified SDVOSB, VOSB, Hub zone, 8(a), women-owned concern. Standard company brochures will not be considered sufficient response to this Source Sought. Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (see internet site: https://www.sam.gov). A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on the Contract Opportunities website: https://beta.sam.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Specific areas to be addressed in capability packages submitted by respondents are as follows: Security Agency license and operational permits for the two localities were services will be performed. In accordance with Puerto Rico Law 108 and USVI Code, Title 23, Chapter 17. If your company doesn t posses the required licenses for a specific location and you would consider to sub-contract, include the sub-contractor licenses along with their socio-economic group, general information (DUNS, point of contact, etc.) and projected distribution of performance. Licensing of Security Guards: Security guards possess a current permit and the correspondent security guard license for the location where services will be performed Expertise in performing unarmed security guard services for similar type of facilities. Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services under the same or a related NAICS codes. Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services that are registered under the same or a related NAICS code with the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE); Provide the certification type (SDVOSB/VOSB), Federal Identification Number, and state of incorporation for each. Do you plan on responding to a solicitation for this requirement with a Joint Venture utilizing multiple owned companies as majority or non-majority owner? Yes ___No ___ If yes, please identify which companies are considering a Joint Venture and the ownership of each company. If you re in GSA, please provide schedule and contract number. It is anticipated that the contract will be a Firm Fixed Price with a Base Period and Four Option Years of 12 months each.
