- NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations 1305M2-21-Q-01711 This is a Sources Sought Notice in preparation for an upcoming procurement, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division, Norfolk, VA on behalf of the NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) is conducting market research to determine potential sources for an Airborne Waveguide Pressurization System Model AWPS20 manufactured by Cibred SUD. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511 Radar Systems and Equipment Manufacturing. The size standard for this NAICS codes is 1,250 employees. The information provided by vendors shall be used to evaluate potential resources interested and capable of providing the AWPS20 to NOAA�s OMAO/AOC. The AOC operates one Lockheed Gulfstream aircraft in support of NOAA and national research. AOC needs to acquire a spare tail doppler radar (TDR) airborne waveguide pressurization system (model: AWPS20, part number: C13916). The TDR is a scientific measurement instrument that is mounted on the tail of the aircraft and is used to collect data on atmospheric phenomenon. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) uses data collected on tropical cyclone systems to fulfill its functions mandated in the National Hurricane Operations Plan (NHOP). NOAA AOC does not own a spare unit and needs to acquire one so that it can continue to provide these critical data to NHC in case of a failure of the unit installed on the aircraft. The manufacturer: Cibred SUD s.r.l. Via Catania, 2 Loc. Pavona 00041 Albano Laziale (Roma) Italy The required Cibred SUD part number is C13916 for an Airborne Waveguide Pressurization System model AWPS20. Standard brochures will not be considered a sufficient response to this notice. Capabilities: Demonstrate how your firm has the capabilities to provide the AWPS20. Documentation Comments: In order to facilitate the exchange of information with industry, provide any comments, questions, or suggestions that pertain to the draft PWS included with this notice. Identify any areas that appear ambiguous or otherwise unclear. Interested vendors are invited to submit an electronic response to this Sources Sought Notice to Natasha Thieman, Contract Specialist, via e-mail at Natasha.Thieman@noaa.gov no later than 11 a.m. Eastern on August 2, 2021. Capability Statements and Documentation Comments must be submitted in writing; telephonic inquiries will not receive a response. This is not a request for technical or cost proposals.
