NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD This is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals.� This is not a solicitation.� The USDA/Agricultural Research Service (ARS) will award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to Bartz Technology LLC USA under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b).� The purpose of this order is to provide the following to support the �USDA/ARS/SEA, Sugarcane Research Unit, Houma, LA location. 1 VSI/BTC MS-190S Minihizotron starter set 50 Minirhizotron Tubes with Caps installed setup for 6-CM/2 in. I.D. Tubes (Bartz Standard), complete with BTC ICAP, indexing handle 6 ft. length 50 protective caps 1 Hole Boring Set, One Step, Heavy Duty 1 Special Order Glue 50 End caps 1 Shipping charges Responsible sources may submit technical capability statement along with business profile to Contract Specialist, Monte Jordan at monte.jordan@usda.gov no later than 3:00 p.m. CDT, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, which shall be considered by the agency.� Any information received will be treated as market research information for future of same or similar requirements.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror�s ability to meet all requirements.
