- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), National Acquisitions Section, Contracting Office, Washington, D.C. is seeking quotes from sources that have the ability to produce an interactive program on conflict management from a faith-based perspective.� The final program curriculum would utilize evidence-based practices and cognitive behavioral treatment modalities to assist inmate participants in processing their cognitions�specifically anger�effectively, and manage conflicting views with spiritual principles and practices.� In addition, the curriculum would provide practical tools to enhance their skills in strengthening interpersonal communication and developing conflict resolution techniques.� Utilized by the BOP Chaplaincy Services agency-wide, this program curriculum shall meet the anger management and cognition needs of inmates as described by the First Step Act (FSA).� � The period of performance shall be for one (1) year and will be under the auspices and oversight of the CSB in Central Office. The Contractor will design and produce an interactive Faith-Based Conflict Management Program for the BOP that will be in compliance with the FSA statutory definition of either an Evidence-Based Recidivism Reduction (EBRR) program or Productive Activity (PA).� This program will be grounded in evidence-based practices and include instruments, or other measures, to track overall program effectiveness, validity, and sustainability over time. The Faith-Based Conflict Management Program must address two of the needs assessed by the BOP as part of the FSA needs assessment. �Specifically, this program should address anger and cognition needs. �Additionally, the Contractor must provide training to CSB administrators and field staff on the implementation of the program. Utilizing evidence-based practices, this curriculum will assist inmate participants in processing anger effectively and managing conflicting views with spiritual principles and practices.� In addition, the curriculum will provide practical tools to enhance one�s skills in strengthening interpersonal communication and developing conflict resolution techniques.� This curriculum shall include a participant�s workbook, including practical activities and exercises, along with a facilitator guide and a companion interactive DVD, to enhance the learning experience for the inmate participants. The Contractor will work closely with and communicate regularly with the CSB in order to receive on-going feedback and guidance on the development of the program curriculum.� In addition, BOP staff may meet with the Contractor at his/her work site in order to review and finalize the final product. The Contractor must provide the BOP a hard copy and digital format of the curriculum consisting of no less than: Workbook (that contains journaling, practical activities and exercises) Facilitator Guide Interactive DVD(s) The services shall be in accordance with the Statement of Work. The request for quotation will be available on or about August 4, 2021 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration�s sam.gov.� Hard copies of the quotation will not be available.� The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including quotation amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated closing date will be on or about August 14, 2021 at 12 pm ET.� The BOP anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract.� All responsible business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered by this agency.
