- ******************************CH-1 TO PRESOLICATION IS POSTED PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION IN ITS ENTIRETY*************** This announcement is open to Total Small Business Set-Aside to include:� Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Woman-Owned Small Business, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) using the procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 14 for a Firm Fixed Price Design Bid Build Construction Contract at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas to accomplish Construction renovation of the third floor of Building 499 (also known as ""A-Wing,� B499), approximately 12,800 SF.� The work consists mainly of mechanical, fire protection, electrical and telecommunications.� The majority of the third floor will be open storage. �In addition, a new secured space (SCIF) shall be constructed within the newly renovated open storage space.� Work will include installation/rework of LAN lines/cable trays for either fiber or copper to meet separation distances required, purchase and install of secure switches and alarmed safe (mini-vault) to be installed in telecom rooms.� Secure 3rd floor conference room for secure VTC shall be constructed.� Seal and soundproof walls and doors as required.� The work will include **but not be limited to** : Vertical work; Electrical Telecommunications Fire Protection Mechanical Structural ***The Government requires previous experience constructing SCIF in accordance with ICD/ICS 705 and IC Tech Specs..**** The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 236220, COMMERCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, which has a size standard of $39,500,000 in annual receipts. The IFB is anticipated to issued on or about August 2021 and proposals due on or about September 2021.� A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated using Price Only.� No public bid opening procedures are applicable for this solicitation.� Anticipated award date is end of September 2021. DFARS 236.204 Disclosure of the magnitude of construction project between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The wages and benefits of service employees (see FAR 22.10) performing under this contract must be at least equal to those determined by Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act.
