THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY This is a sources sought notice only and it is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified, potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 334515 (Instrument Manufacturing For Measuring And Testing Electricity And Electrical Signals) with a size standard of 750 employees. Responses will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted. A response to this sources sought notice is not an adequate reply to a potentially forthcoming solicitation. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking small businesses that can provide five IRIG-B and five 10MHz distribution amplifiers to allow distribution of synchronized precision timing sources to new Command and Telemetry Transceivers and other equipment requiring external timing sources at the Fairbanks Command and Data Acquisition Station (FCDAS). The current Station Timing distribution system is becoming fully utilized (running out of spare ports). By implementing distribution amplifiers for the appropriate timing references many of the ports from the station timing distribution system can be made available for future expansion.� The FCDAS is a 24-7 satellite tracking station operated by NOAA in support of environmental monitoring spacecraft. As part of its operations, the FCDAS utilizes antenna systems capable of automatically recording data transmitted from these spacecraft and any associated event logs created while processing this data. Integral components of the antenna systems are the Station Timing and Synchronized Timing distribution amplifiers. These antenna systems are part of the nation�s Critical Infrastructure support system. Below are the technical specifications. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought shall be voluntary. To respond to this sources sought notice, please provide the small business designation for NAICS 334515, details regarding the products you feel may satisfy this requirement and you may include a brief 1-2 page capabilities statement.
