Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE PROJECT TITLE: Space Debris Collision Avoidance Software The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm-fixed price award for space debris collision avoidance subscription (HiDEph and Safety of Flight) to ComSpOC Corporation at 220 Valley Creek Blvd, Exton, PA 19341. The total estimated value is $1,526,146.08 with a period of performance of 12 months, with two 12month option periods. The proposed procurement is for software that is a comprehensive Space Operations Center (SpOC) software solution in a services oriented architecture that provides the position, velocity and associated uncertainty of a space object based on tracking data collected by ComSpOC�s worldwide network of sensors and active ranging data (if available) collected by the satellite operator. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority at 41 U.S.C. 1901 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures, using SAP up to $7.5 million as authorized by FAR 13.500(a) � Special Documentation requirements and implemented by FAR 13.501(a). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
