- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified businesses capable of developing software for the photogrammetric application of the BAE Systems SOCET GXP. The sources sought announcement is not a request for quote or proposal and the Government is not committed to award of a purchase order or contract pursuant to this announcement. The information resulting from this market research is simply for planning purposes to assist the Government in determining its acquisition strategy. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code � 541511 Custom Computer Programming Services and associated size standard $30M All responsible sources may submit a brochure and/or technical specifications detailing the ability of their product / service to meet the specifications included with this announcement. INSTRUCTION FOR SOURCES SOUGHT SUBMISSION: Respondents shall include the following as part of their submission: a. A synopsis of the company's capabilities that supports the described requirement contained in this notice. Note: When discussing the requirements, you must ensure that it is presented in a clear and concise format. b. DUNS Number c. Company Name d. Company Address e. Business size, as validated via the System for Award Management (SAM). f. Company point of contact, phone and email address. The information submitted should not exceed a total of 25 one-sided 8 � x 11 pages, with one-inch margins, and font no smaller than 12 point. After review of the responses to this announcement, the Government intends to proceed with the acquisition and a subsequent solicitation or special notice will be published. Responses to this announcement shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to glewando@usgs.gov and must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than August 5, 2021at Noon ES. Responses submitted by hardcopy will not be accepted or considered. Requirements / Tasks Specific work will be to expand capabilities of the ITE �TIN Edit� tool in SOCET GXP software: Specific Tasks will be: 1.Task: Research and create a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for a TIN editing session in SOCET GXP, including a detailed design and review. Milestone: The CONOPS will be reviewed with the USGS. 2.Task: Implementation of the GUI for the new TIN tool window. Detail: The TIN Edit tool will be a new grid terrain area edit tool. A new button and associated tool tip will be provided. The new TIN Edit window will provide an interface to allow for selecting the mode to insert breaklines or mass points. Hotkeys will also be provided to switch between these modes. Once placed, mass points and breaklines can be edited using the same point and line interaction and preferences used when drawing features or graphics in SOCET GXP, but will be limited to inherent properties for TIN data. Finally, the TIN Edit window will provide buttons for saving or cancelling the TIN Edit session. 3.Task: Management, implementation and delivery of the GUI for Scene and Terrain Integration. 4.Milestone: Beta versions of SOCET GXP will be provided to the USGS during the software development process with the final delivery provided in the schedule below. 5.Deliverable: New capabilities will be added and available in a future release of Socet GXP software 6.Authorized Work Locations/Place of Performance All work will be done at contractor location. No logical or physical access to government facilities will be needed. 7.Period of Performance The anticipated periods of performance is the date of award and one year thereafter
