David Ferlauto David.Ferlauto@VA.GOV mailto: david.ferlauto@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO Lombart Brothers, Inc. The Brooklyn VA Medical Center is currently seeking to purchase a Sonomed VuMax-HD for the Brooklyn Eye Clinic. Market research was conducted and determined that Lombart Brothers, Inc is the only vendor capable of providing this product necessary that meet the requirements off the Eye Clinic which must be compliant with the Sonomed VuMax-HD. Changing the source would severely impact the capacity of the Eye Clinic to perform its required functions up to the required standards. All items are manufactured exclusively by Sonomed and distributed by Lombart Brothers, Inc. The vendor is required to deliver: Sonomed VuMax-HD A/B/UBM system with Water-Path Probe, 12MHz B-Probe, 10MHz A-Probe. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest received prior to August 09, 2021. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to david.ferlauto@va.gov and received by 1 PM EST on August 9, 2021. Submitters are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on-time.
