Description

NOTICE: THIS IS A SOLE-SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT A RFQ. The intent of this notice is to inform the vendor community of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS)'s proposed contract action. This proposed procurement is for items that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than August 16, 2021, 12:00 PM, EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. NOAA intends to solicit a sole source contract to the American Meteorological Society (AMS) based on FAR 6.302-1 Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The purpose of this procurement is to provide for the editing, formatting, printing, mailing, and publishing when appropriate of scientific articles, page charges, journals, manuscripts, bulletins of the American Meteorological Society (BAMS), and the State of Climate Report published by the American Meteorological Society (AMS). The requirement also includes providing registrations for AMS meetings, conferences, and abstract submissions for a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
