- Description
- The purpose of this project is to repair, by replacement, the existing deer fence in the clear zone area of the airfield at Laughlin Air Force Base (LAFB). An animal resistant fence is required to protect the airfield form infiltration by deer and smaller animals. Failure to provide the fence will result in harmful situations for our pilots and the aircrafts. If an aircraft hits an animal, it could result in fatality of pilots. Currently deer and smaller animals were observed to be bypassing the current fence. Completed work shall prohibit deer and smaller animals from accessing the airfield. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials from demolition to construction of the project and shall return the area to its original or better condition upon completion and to turn over to the Government a complete and usable area. All construction work shall comply with the 100% Design Drawings, 100% Design Specifications, LAFB Environmental Specifications and with all applicable State, Federal and Air Force requirements, codes and standards. The acquisition will be set aside for Women Owned Small Business (WOSB). the NAICS code for the acquisition is 237990 and the applicable small business standard size $39.5M. Any interested party may download a copy of the solicitation from this website once it is�released. Copies of the solicitation are not available for mailing. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of the solicitation. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Registration may be accomplished at website https://www.sam.gov. �
