8-3-2021 Amendment 0001 - FOB changed from other to DESTINATION.� See amendment for details. Scope of Work:� Alumininum Floating Fishing Pier and Ramp 1.1 GENERAL. a. Description. The contractor shall supply, deliver, and install an aluminum floating fishing pier/walkway to the Tombigbee Ranger District, Trace Unit, Davis Lake Recreation Area, 859 County Road 124, Houlka (Chickasaw County), MS 38850 b. Delivery Information. Delivery shall be within 90 calendar days of contract award. The Contractor shall be responsible for delivery of all items to Tombigbee Ranger District, Trace Unit, Davis Lake Recreation Area. 859 County Road 124, Houlka (Chickasaw County), MS 38850. � � � � � �� The contractor shall contact Paula Crimm (paula.crimm@usda.gov), 662-552-1605, 72 hours prior to arrange delivery. c. Conditions. The scope of work only contains general instructions for reference. It is strongly recommended that each interested contractor visit the job site prior to submitting a quote. The Contractor is responsible for quantities, materials, critical dimensions, and work conditions used to calculate a proposal. 1.2 GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS. Fabricate an American Disability Act (ADA) accessible floating fishing pier and walkway to the specifications as follows: A. Fishing Pier: a) Dock: Dock will be a 8'x60' ADA floating fishing pier � � � � � �1 ea Floating aluminum fishing pier, measuring 8� x 60� includes (1) 8�x10� roller platform and (7) 2�x4� fishing kickouts.�Includes: Includes railing, grab bar, toe rail, and transition plates. Flotations Systems Inc. or equal � � � � � � � 1ea� Access ramp 6�x60� single span, with rollers and transition plates.� Flotations Systems Inc. or equal � � � � � � � �4ea� 21� spud poles for anchoring system � � � � � � � � 4ea� 3� spud pole collars for anchoring system � � � � � � � � �4ea PVC caps and silencer rings for anchoring system B. Walkway/Gangways: a) Walkway/Gangway: � � 1. Walkway/gangway will be 6'x60' � � 2. single span, with rollers and transition plates � � 3. Decking will be interlocking powder coated aluminum (Flotations Systems Inc. or equal /Gutter Deck brand or equivalent) � � 4. 2""x2"" enclosed square tubing handrail, mid rail, and toe kick will be installed on the walkway/gangway. No pickets will be installed on the walkway/gangway � � 5. transition plate on the dock hinge and an ADA compliant ramp from the walkway/gangway to the shore will be supplied � � �6. 5th wheel style hinge system which will allow the fishing pier to self-adjust with rising or falling water levels will be supplied to create an attachment from the walkway to the shoreline/concrete bulkhead. This will include all pieces to be able to create a new attachment to the shoreline. 1.3 SAFETY a. Work Site Safety. During installation, the contractor is required to maintain a site-specify Safety Plan. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring that proper techniques and procedures are followed, and precautions taken to prevent injury to any person or property. The Contractor and the Contractor�s employees shall adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines applicable to this type of work. These include but are not limited to safety requirements provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (29 CFR 1910-1926, www.osha.gov). It is the contractor�s responsibility to know what safety regulations and guidelines are applicable to this type of work. B. Signage. The contractor shall provide the maximum weight capacity the entrance ramp and pier. This capacity shall be expressed in both numeric weight and a �general� number of persons. OSHA compliant signs will be fixed to both the ramp and the pier at OSHA required spacings. 1.4 PROTECTION OF EXISTING VEGETATION, STRUCTURES, EQUIPMENT, UTILITIES, AND IMPROVEMENTS. The Contractor shall preserve and protect all structures, equipment, and vegetation (such as trees, shrubs, and grass) on or adjacent to the work site, which are not to be removed and which do not unreasonably interfere with the work required under this contract. The Contractor shall only remove trees when specifically authorized to do so, and shall avoid damaging vegetation that will remain in place. The Contractor shall protect from damage all existing improvements and utilities (1) at or near the work site, and (2) on adjacent property of a third party, the locations of which are made known to or should be�known by the Contractor. The Contractor shall repair any damage to those facilities, including those that are the property of a third party, resulting from failure to comply with the requirements of this contract or failure to exercise reasonable care in performing the work. If the Contractor fails or refuses to repair the damage promptly, the Contracting Officer may have the necessary work performed and charge the cost to the Contractor. Fuel and Machine Fluids. The contractor shall instruct employees in environmental protection practices. The contractor is responsible for operating under conditions which preclude the waste of fuel or spoiling the environment. Machine fluids (fuel, oils, coolants, etc.) shall not be drained on the ground or allowed to enter any watercourse. Inadvertent spills shall be contained immediately, and the Contracting Officer�s Representative shall be notified immediately. Promptly remediate the spill unless otherwise directed by authorities. 1.5 DOCUMENTATION AND RECORDS. Drawings: Contractor to provide standard manufacturer drawings for this project to the COR and the Contracting Officer upon completion.
