Description
This is a request for information (RFI) for Wisconsin and surrounding regions. This is not a solicitation for proposal and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this RFI, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This RFI does not constitute a commitment from the Government and any information provided in response to this RFI will be used for informational purposes only. �Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise for future business with the Government. The purpose of this RFI is to conduct Market Research. Background: �DLA Troop Support expects to issue the solicitation for Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) supporting the Wisconsin and surrounding regions within the contiguous United States (CONUS). DLA Troop Support�s CONUS SPV contractors are responsible for providing full-line food and beverage item distribution support for garrison type feeding to military, federally funded, and other authorized customers in the regions covered by each contract. The DLA Troop Support SPV contractor will be responsible for providing food products such as canned items, dry items, chill items, ultra-high temperature (UHT) dairy items, frozen bakery products, frozen meats, frozen seafood and poultry, ice cream, eggs and other dairy products under this contract. PORT OF CHICAGO, IL� �PORT OF DULUTH, MN� PORT OF MILWAUKEE, WI� WISCONSIN NATIONAL GUARD� 182ND AIR NATIONAL GUARD� �WISCONSIN ANG BASE, 128TH ANG UNIT� VOLK FIELD ANGB � ILLINOIS (FT SHERIDAN) ENHANCEMENTS �ILLINOIS ENHANCEMENTS� �2ND BN 24TH MARINES 4TH MARDIV� �MARINE RESERVES, IL, IA, MN, WI� �USN NSTC (FORT MCCOY) �NAVY SHIPS MARINETTE� �TISA� �WISCONSIN ENHANCEMENTS Following are specific questions to consider: 1. �Provide a brief description of your company (name, address, type of business; business size, CAGE Code if applicable, country of origin). 2. �Subsistence Prime Vendor support includes, but is not limited to: sourcing food items; receiving and consolidating product; warehousing and inventory management; quality control, quality assurance, and inspections; transportation and security of product; personnel management; meeting required delivery dates and fill rates; and extensive reporting requirements. �Total yearly sales for the Wisconsin �area are estimated at $4,000,000. � a. Does your firm currently have any commercial and/or government business in the Wisconsin area? �Or alternatively, describe your firm�s experience with the Wisconsin area. b. Can your firm manage the volume of business described above? �Where are your warehouses presently located? �What is the dollar value of product going through your warehouses on an annual basis? c. What are the potential concerns that you see that may impede/impact your ability to deliver the necessary supplies to the customers in the Wisconsin area? 3. �If or when a solicitation is issued for the Wisconsin area, does your firm intend to participate in the bidding process?
