Page 2 of 2 This Notice of Intent is provided to advise that the Government intends to solicit for a Brand Name or Equal Replace Dental & SPS Compressors as a Small Business set-aside for the Omaha VA Health Care System to include the following: General Description Work: Period of Performance is 90 calendar days from Award, to include material lead time. Dental/SPS Air Compressors Omaha The contractor will provide all labor and materials needed to remove and replace the following air compressors in B542, quantity: 1, Airstar 50, quantity: 1, Airstar 21 with quantity: 2, Airstar 100 units or equivalent. The Contractor is responsible for relocating the existing air compressors to the basement of building 9 for storage, on a pallet and reuse as necessary. Contractor to provide 2 calendar days advanced notice prior to requiring relocation to the POC and sufficient storage will be made available. Existing Airstar 50 and Airstar 21 compressors located in B542 The contractor shall submit the make & model of the compressor unit with their quote as approval by VA will be needed at time of award. Salient Characteristics of Replacement Air Compressors- BNOE 100% oil-free, dry air performance Antimicrobial tank interior powder coating Quadruple filtered Virus-Bacteria Filters are used in conjunction with the Membrane Drying unit and have been independently tested by the SGS Frisenius Institute showing retention of greater than 99.99995% for all particles regardless of size. Linear Teflon-bonded piston, long-stroke compression Default 85-115 psi (cut-in/out) pressure switch settings*. Should be changed by contractor to at least 101psi cut in pressure. Simulatenous users: 10-15 Compressor Head: Twin 2.4 HP CFM @ 80 PSI: 20 Tank Size: at least 30 gallons Voltage Rating: 220Volts, 3 phase Panel Breaker: 30Amps Voltage Min/Max: 198/242 Wire Size: 10 gauge In the event that wires are damaged contractor shall replace existing wire, perform a continuity test and submit reports to the VA POC. Vendor to reuse the existing conduits and wires installed if continuity tests show no break or damaged wiring. The VA will provide sufficient electrical power from a circuit panel located in the adjacent room (B533) as shown below that has spare breakers rated for 30 amps. Vendor to make all electrical connections to outlets that are dropped in B542 and ensure units are level. Vendor to provide adequate training of up to 2 hours on the operation of the compressors installed and any necessary preventative maintenance. A training schedule shall be developed and submitted by the contractor and approved by the VA POC at least 14 days prior to the planned training. Must provide O&M manuals upon completion. The contractor will work with the VA POC, plumbing, dental and biomed staff during pre-site planning and installation of equipment.  Upon completion, the vendor shall provide a walkthrough with the VA representatives to include the VA POC, dental and biomed staff to ensure that the equipment installed is fully functional. The Contractor shall provide 24-month warranty period and verify operation of the compressors. In the event that the equipment installed is not operational due to defects in this period contractor to respond to VA representatives request for on site service within 48 hours. The vendor will be responsible for disposal of all trash and removal of all equipment at the end of each working day.  The VA will not be responsible for storage of equipment, materials, or tools. Security: Contractor(s) shall obtain badges prior to work and must be worn at all times while on VA premises. It is the vendor s responsibility to obtain security badges from the POC for all employees, sub-contractors and visitors that will be on site. It is the Vendor s responsibility to account for and return all badges that have been issued. Any lost/misplaced/unreturned badges may result in a lost badge charge.
