TITLE: U- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE SOL: 36C24221Q1268 DUE: August 09, 2021 at 12:00 PM EST. SET ASIDE: N/A NAICS: 722310 POP: Date of Award (DOA) for 12 months with provisional 4 option years. AGENCY: Department of Veterans Affairs, Bronx New York POC: Evelyn Peguero, email Evelyn.Peguero@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO New York State Mental Health. Market research was conducted and determined that NEW YORK State Mental Health is the only vendor capable of providing the Cook Chill Food at VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, necessary to meet the requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists, and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. The government MAY consider all Expressions of Interest (EOI) received prior to 08/09/2021. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to Evelyn.Peguero@va.gov and received by 12:00PM EST on 8/9/2021. Submitters are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on-time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. See below for additional details. Objective: To provide VA Hudson Valley Health Care System with prepared menu food items based upon a cook chill production list. Scope: The contractor shall provide cook chill food products to be delivered twice per week to two campuses within the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System. All food items will be prepared and delivered in disposable pans, bags, and boxes. Disposable pans, bags, and boxes will be assembled for delivery in contractor provided baskets and dollies. All food items, disposable pans or bags will be labeled with name of menu item, number of portions, assembled date and use by date. All chilled food will be delivered in refrigerated trucks which maintain the food temperature below 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Contractor will deliver ordered food items in refrigerated trucks to the loading docks of Nutrition and Food Service at Castle Point -Mondays and Wednesdays, 7 a.m.- 8 a.m. and Montrose- Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m.- 10 a.m. Contractor will assure food is maintained and delivered at temperatures below 41 degrees Fahrenheit. The commissary driver and/or delivery person will check in with the designated Nutrition and Food Service Employee upon arriving for delivery. Key Contractor Personnel are as follow and shall have certifications as shown below: Director- HACCP certified, ServSafe Certified Nutrition Services Administrator: HACCP certified, ServSafe Certified, Registered Dietitian Period of Performance The awarded contract shall be for a base period from October 1st, 2021 September 30th, 2022, with a provisional four option years.
