Description
This announcement provides details for the upcoming Industry Day to be held at Pipestem Dam, Jamestown, North Dakota. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. This announcement and the Industry Day event are for planning purposes only. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse any party attending or participating for costs incurred for this event or marketing efforts. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, Industry Day event will take place beginning at 10AM Central Standard Time on 17 AUGUST 2021. During this event, in addition to a scope briefing, interested contractors will have the opportunity to tour the prospective work site.� Photography will be limited to specific areas pertaining to the project scope of work.� If time permits, PRIME CONTRACTORS ONLY will have the opportunity to sign up for a voluntary one-on-one meeting with the government during a specific time during the Industry Day event.� One-on-one meetings are intended to allow contractors to provide specification feedback that may be proprietary or otherwise inappropriate for ProjNet publication and will not be a question-and-answer format.� The government will not answer questions or share additional specification clarification during one-on-one discussions.� Comments adn Quesitons will only be accepted via ProjNet Bidder Inquiry (See Instructions at teh end of this announcement) The Address for the Industry Day is: Fairfield Inn (Conference Room) 930 25th St SW, Jamestown, ND �58401 Industry Day will be held: August 17, 2021 starting at 10 AM CST�at Fairfield Inn with a Site Tour to follow.� Attendees must have there own means of transportation to the project site. Industry Day Attendance: The event is free of charge and all interested parties are invited to attend. As much as possible, attendance is limited to two (2) representatives per company. Please RSVP to Daniel Monahan� daniel.d.monahan@usace.army.mil or �David Neal David.W.Neal@usace.army.mil NLT August 16, 2021 at 12 PM CST All Attendees, should provide at least� (1) Full Name and (2) Position and Affiliated Organization.� If SAM registered, please provide CAGE and DUNS. Foreign (non-US) Citizens, must provide the following information NLT August 13, 2021 �(1) Full name, (2) Position and Affiliated Organization, (3) Scanned copy of passport. � **Photography will be restricted to specific areas pertaining to the project scope of work.� Attendees taking unauthorized photographs will be escorted from the premises.� There will be no individual or unescorted tours** Summary of Work: The Pipestem Dam Spillway Modification Project consists of a stepped Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) spillway chute structure with an integrated 3 stage labyrinth crest control structure, approach walls, and stilling basin.� The stepped chute structure will armor the slope at the downstream end of the spillway and convey spillway flow from the higher elevation of the spillway channel to the lower elevation of Pipestem Creek.� The stilling basin will dissipate the hydraulic energy of flow exiting the spillway before it enters the creek.� Together, the chute structure and stilling basin will prevent the initiation of spillway erosion at the downstream end of the spillway.� Dikes on the left and right sides of the spillway channel will train the flow into the chute structure and provide flanking protection to prevent erosion from initiating outside of the spillway channel.� The spillway modification also includes lowering of the upstream spillway channel the approach channel to 6 to 8 feet below existing grade. *See attached Pipestem Dam Project Overview document for additional details concerning this proposed project. � Required Safety Equipment:� Site visit will require proper clothing to ensure occupational safety and health standard are met.� At a minimum, all attendees must have still toe boots and appropriate clothing.� Optional items include reflective vests, gloves or other desired personal protective equipment.� *USACE will not provide personal protective equipment for attendees.� � **COVID PROTOCALS** COVID 19 protective procedures will be in place.� All participants MUST wear an appropriate Mask or Face Covering during the Site Visit regardless of vaccination status.� USACE will NOT provide masks. Additionally, Social Distancing procedures will be in place for all aspect of the meeting as deemed necessary by meeting organizers.� Attendees are requested to be patient and flexible as these requirements are as mandated by Presidential Executive Order, CDC recommendations, local policies, and other Federal guidance/directives. Magnitude of Construction: The magnitude of construction for this project is estimated between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000. Industry Day Questions and Comments: ALL inquiries and questions related to this Industry Day are to be submitted via Bidder Inquiry in ProjNet at �(https://www.projnet.org).� If the Government determines an answer should be provided to any questions submitted into ProjNet, the answers will be posted in ProjNet for all interested parties to review.� Project Name: Pipestem Dam Spillway Modifications Solicitation Number: W9128F22R0022 Bidder Inquiry Key: 2R78C7-IQ9MVF Instructions for PROJNET: A. Registration for ProjNet Bidder Inquiry Access: If you are already registered, go to Entering Bidder Inquiries in ProjNet Bidder Inquiry System below. 1. From the ProjNet home page linked above, click on Quick Add on the upper right side of the screen. 2. Identify the Agency. This should be marked as USACE. 3. Key. Enter the Bidder Inquiry Key listed above. 4. Email. Enter the email address you would like to use for communication. 5. Click Continue. A page will then open saying that a user account was not found and will ask you to create one using the provided form. 6. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Company, City, State, Phone, Email, Secret Question, Secret Answer, and Time Zone. Make sure to remember your Secret Question and Answer as they will be used from this point on to access the ProjNet system. 7. Click Add User. Once this is completed you are now registered within ProjNet and are currently logged into the system. B. Entering Bidder Inquiries in ProjNet Bidder Inquiry System: 1. For future access to ProjNet, you will not be emailed any type of password. You will utilize your Secret Question and Secret Answer to log in. 2. From the ProjNet home page linked above, click on Quick Add on the upper right side of the screen. 3. Identify the Agency. This should be marked as USACE. 4. Key. Enter the Bidder Inquiry Key listed above. 5. Email. Enter the email address you used to register previously in ProjNet. 6. Click Continue. A page will then open asking you to enter the answer to your Secret Question. 7. Enter your Secret Answer and click Login. Once this is completed you are now logged into the system. 8. Follow online screen instructions to enter specific bidder inquiries for the project. C. Please review the Bidder Inquiry System for answers to questions prior to submission of a new inquiry. D. The call center operates weekdays from 8AM to 5PM U.S. Central Time Zone (Chicago). The telephone number for the Call Center is 800-428-HELP.
