- This is a synopsis of contract action (SOCA); this is not a solicitation for a Request for Proposal, Invitation to Bid, or a commitment, implied or otherwise, that AFTC/PZIEA will take procurement action in the matter. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this SOCA or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this SOCA is to notify industry of the USAF�s intent of contract action and possibly gain knowledge of other potentially qualified sources and their size classifications (small business, large business, etc.) please do not request a copy of solicitation, as one does not exist. The AFTC Contracting Directorate (AFTC/PZIEA), Edwards AFB intends to issue a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price Contract under the authority of 10 United States Code (USC) 2302(b), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and AFFARS 5313.501 to American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, 143 West Street, New Milford, CT� 06776. The applicable NAICS is 334515 with a size standard of 750 employees. The following is a brief description of the acquisition requirements: Qty 1- Laser Wire Marker System workstation with touch screen technology operating under Windows 10 (USAF standard requirement) Operating System including: - Production software - manual and automatic production modes with file integration; - Built-in laser energy monitoring and self-calibration/adjustment; - Laser mask assembly included - Mark and cut-to-length 6 to 26 AWG; - External cooling unit - 355 nm frequency-tripled flash-pumped Nd-YAG solid state laser - Class 1 - Unalterable high contrast marking Laser wire marker with: - Auto-calibration with user-replaceable laser lamp assembly and self-adjustment of laser energy according to cable settings defined in the setup software. - Real time energy level control with automatic adjustment to specifications - Able to mark UV-markable single-core wires and shielded multi-core cables from 6 to 26 gauge as standard on PTFE (Teflon), FEP (Teflon), ETFE (Tefzel), XL-ETFE (Tefzel) - Cable lengths 5.9 inches to 3,278 feet - Cable knots, splices and bare wire detector - Wire-end source and destination marking function - Line speed up to 390 ft/min - Marking speed of about 73 ft/min for 8 characters 3 inch apart - Multi-spool de-reeling mechanism w/ minimum of five spools minimum and manual feeding - Automatic wire tensioning and servo controlled drive system - Coiling pan with an 8-inch diameter minimum - External encoder - Optical fault detection device (wire knots, cuts etc.) - Four font printing function, including lower and upper cases - Tel-maintenance kit Installation services: - Installation and maintenance of system - On-site training for operator, maintenance team and production assistance - Basic maintenance tool box - User maintenance manuals - digital preferred Maintenance/Warranty Services for three years following installation There are no solicitation documents; however, any vendors that believe they can meet the requirements described should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government�s requirement. In addition, the response should include verification of the Offeror�s Representation and Certifications�Commercial Items in accordance to FAR 52.212-3. If the offer does not have a copy of this provision, go to http://www.sam.gov/ to load required information. Any response received without completing this registration will be considered noncompliant. Further, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e. Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR part 12. All information furnished shall be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the government representative to evaluate and determine if it can meet the requirement. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 09:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time, 06 Aug 2021.
