Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order of QIAcuity 5plex System to QIAGEN LLC. The QIAcuity has 5 detection channels for up to 5 target multiplexing. It also have a higher template input (up to 28ul for 26K plate and probe-based master mix), which is crucial for low abundant target molecule detection and quantification. Very important for fixed tissue. Other competitors have lower template input volume options.�It has a small foot-print at just 15� in width saving lab bench space which is not available from competitor systems. It has fractions, fold changes, and CNV are calculated automatically by QIAcuity software suite. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6 �Limiting Sources� and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within 3 days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any quotation/response should be emailed to the contract specialist at�qlb5@cdc.gov�by COB 08/06/2021.
