This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors who can provide the following equipment per the description of item(s) below for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Richmond VA Medical Center (VAMC), 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249: DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS Items: HP 3-D Printer (Please See Attachment) Manufacturer: HP Contract Title. Large Volume Powder based TPU 3D Printer Background/Dates of Service (Period of Performance). The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center is requesting a 3D printer capable of producing highly accurate models out on nylon, TPU, and TPA materials that exhibit durable plastic properties in addition to rubber like material properties. This printer should be able to handle large volume with high speed and produce parts with uniform density. Initial implementation would commence within this calendar year. Scope. The Contractor shall provide equipment, tools, materials, installation, training, and repair (1 year) necessary to operate printer. Specific Tasks. The Vendor will provide the following: 3D printer system capable of printing in TPU and optionally nylon installation and training 1 year service, repair, replacement, and support. Salient Features for the 3Dprinter: Fusion Jet 3D Printer and separate Processing Station FDA approved Nylon (PA-12) material capable Skin safe TPU material TPA material capable Build Volume: 15 x 11.2 x 15 inches Building speed 4115 cm3 / hr Layer thickness 0.08 mm (0.003 inches) Printhead resolution 1200 dpi Printer size: 87 x 47 x 57 inches) Salient Features for the Service Contract: 1 year of onsite customer support and printer servicing Installation of printer onsite, in person training for designers and printer operator. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a) Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at the System for Award Management (SAM) as a part of required registration in conjunction with FAR 4.1102(a) that states, Prospective contractors shall be registered in the (SAM) database prior to award of a contract or agreement. Therefore, due to time constraints, vendors will be required to be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov to be considered for an award.
