- This is a notice of intent by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to award a new sole source contract to the: American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), Inc. 4401 Wilson BLVD STE 700 Arlington, VA 22203 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: 541519, Other Computer Related Services Period of Performance:� 12 Month Base + 4 12 Month Option Periods AAMVA operates the Commercial Driver License Information System (CDLIS) under an agreement with FMCSA that meets the requirements of the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986 as amended and the implementing regulations.� FMCSA requires access to data items maintained in the central index that are not currently obtainable with existing operating software. AAMVA possesses a unique capability for providing access to Federal users for CDLIS.� AAMVA is uniquely positioned to: 1)Provide the technical infrastructure, as the operator of CDLIS and; 2)Provide a mechanism for maintaining a list of user-ids, as the operator of CDLIS.� The contemplated contract will be firm fixed-price.� This award will be made in accordance with FAR 6.302-1.� Only one responsible source is capable of satisfying agency requirements as part of its responsibilities to operate CDLIS at this time.� The services are highly specialized and can only be provided by the single source operating CDLIS because no other vendors have access to the central site and the operating software.
