- Description
- The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center San Diego intends to award a FFP (firm fixed price) single award contract on a sole source basis to Droplet Measurement Technologies. This requirement is for a fog monitor with swivel inlet that can measure a size spectrum of cloud/fog water droplets from 2-50 micrometer and can be used in such outside environments where mist, rain, and wind exist (outdoor environment). This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to Droplet Measurement Technologies in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency�s requirements. The contractor, Droplet Measurement Technologies, is the only known source and manufacturer that can provide the necessary sensor to measure the size spectrum of cloud/fog water droplet (particles). See attached sole source justification. Note: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
