- Description
- USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Riegl USA, Inc., 7035 Grand National Dr, Ste 100, Orlando, FL 32819-8317.� The procurement requires Riegl USA to provide software and maintenance support for previously purchased Riegl scanners. Riegl will also provide all software, software maintenance, upgrades, and support for lidar scanners.� Riegl is the only vendor who can code for�Riegl manufactured instruments can only be serviced, inspected and calibrated by Riegl USA due to the highly specialized equipment and proprietary components manufactured by Riegl. Riegl is the sole-source for any supplies, maintenance and repair work for their instruments. This acquisition will be for five years. This Presolicitation Notice is for information purposes only. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). This is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals and no solicitation is available. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees. All sources eligible to provide this service must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide the service as outlined above. The contractor must also provide a description of their past experience in fulfilling requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement and references for each.� A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received within six calendar days (6) days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable services are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this product through a sole source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Interested parties may submit their capabilities statement for consideration by the Government to stacy.d.thurman@usace.army.mil.
