THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The purpose of this sources sought is to determine if there are commercially available laminate flexible graphite with a type 316 stainless steel wire mesh insert that meets the high temperature and high vibration requirements of the Jet Engine Test Cell. The graphite sheet is required equipment for the Building 1100 Jet Engine Test Cell Repair project. The graphite sheet must contain no asbestos or other organic or inorganic binders, additives, fillers, or other potentially fugitive ingredients and must be a laminate of flexible graphite with a type 316 stainless steel wire mesh insert. The graphite sheet must have the following properties: Density (without laminate): 70 lbs./cu. Ft. Astm f36 creep relaxation: 5 percent Astm f36 compressibility: 40 percent Maximum temperature at minimum thickness: 842 degrees f Astm f152 cross grain tensile strength: 650 psi This is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested vendors submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 5 pages total) demonstrating the ability to provide the product with the specifications described above. Interested Sources are invited to respond to this Sources Sought by completing Attachment 1 � Contractor Information Form and Attachment 2 � Technical Information. The Capabilities Statement Package shall not exceed 5 pages and shall ONLY be submitted electronically to Kate Arnold, kathryn.l.arnold3.civ@us.navy.mil and MUST be limited to a 4MB attachment. You are encouraged to request a read receipt or acknowledgement via reply email. RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, 13 AUGUST 2021 AT 2:00 PM EASTERN TIME.� LATE RESPONSES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
