Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to California Advanced Labeling, Inc for the purchase of the TubeWriter 360. This is the only compact tubewriter capable of fulfilling all of the following requirements: Printing Speed Up to 2,500 tubes/hour Data Input Microsoft Excel, comma delimited, LIMS, or custom database integration available Ink Waterproof, alcohol-resistant, formalin-resistant, temperature and solvent resistant, and colored inksWidest array of industrial grade inks Media Types Cluster Tubes (Matrix, Micronic, Etc.)Conical Tubes� (5, 15, 50ml)Cryogenic VialsCulture Tubes (12 x 75mm, 13 x 75mm, 13 x 100m, 16 x 100mm, 16 x 125mm, etc.) Microcentrifuge Tubes Microscope Slides PCR Tubes Petri Dishes Screw Cap Tubes Snap Cap Tubes (5, 15ml) Custom Vials and Parts Microplates and Cell Culture Plates Writing Surfaces Top (cap),� Side (body), Glass, Plastic, Metal, Ceramic Barcodes Data Matrix, Linear, 2D, Code 128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 and 5 Alphanumeric Heights from 0.079� (2mm) � 0.400� (10mm) Graphics Logos, Warning symbols, Manufacturing Marks Scannability Fixed mount and hand-held scannable Printable Lines 2-5 lines with unlimited text per line (depends on labware) Tubes printed per run 8-96 depending on media type Connectivity USB (standard), Ethernet� (optional), Serial (optional) Compatibility PC Size and Weight TubeWriter� Printing Unit�measures 18� x 18� x 16�(WxLxH) weighing 50 lbsInkJet Cabinet�measures 13.6� x11.2� x21.3� (WxLxH) weight 49 lbsUmbilical Chord�10� flexible connector between Printing Unit and InkJet Cabinet Electrical 100-240 VAC 50/60hz These requirements result higher levels of efficiency and will be more compatible with program�s need for high-speed direct tube printing ultimatley eliminating labels and inelligible handwriting; ability to print on any labware � Microcentrifuge tubes, screw cap tubes, conical tubes, snap cap tubes, cluster tubes, cryogenic vials, histology cassettes, slides and microplates; Scannable barcode printing on demand (e.g., 2D Data Matrix, 39, 128, Interleaved 2 of 5); Excel Interface or LIMS; ability to print graphics, logos, and in other languages; ability to print directely on tubes or a glass vial itself (virtually any surface, flat or round) hence provision of consistent readable fonts and barcodes at high resolution, ensuring always-accurate oligo tube labeling. The TubeWriter 360 is the only compact high-speed inkjet printing system for labware with all these capabilities and features. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any quotation/response should be emailed to contracting officer, Mrs. Candice L.
