- AMENDMENT 2�INCLUDES: 1)� Attachment of drawing�5971749 with picture.� Attention bidders please read�note 4 on drawing 5971749.�It specifies a magnetic permeability, which includes the weld.� Keeping the weld within this specification has proved difficult to some manufacturers.� The end user will be�checking the weld to ensure it passes (He will check the base metal also).� He plans on using a�permeability indicator from Severn Engineering. AMENDMENT 1 INCLUDES: 1) Attachment added-Additional Information for Drawing 5971718� (No Request�for Access is�required). End of Amendment 1. SMALL BUSNIESS SET ASIDE RECOVERY HOOK FABRICATION Procurement requirements to fabricate and assemble� Hook, Recovery Pole Assemblies for the mechanical minesweeping system.��� The items will be manufactured in accordance with drawings previously developed by U.S. Navy personnel.�� The contractor shall provide all personnel, materials, and facilities to accomplish statement of work tasking attached. REQUIREMENTS Fabrication Support The contractor shall fabricate and assemble seventeen (17) minesweeping recovery hooks in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing 5971718.� One (1) of these hooks shall undergo an overload test of 8,000 pounds in accordance to note 3.� Hook shall be measured at the inspection points before and after overload test to ensure hook does not take of permanent deformation of more than .070 inches.� Load test paperwork and deformation inspection shall be provided at time of delivery. The remaining sixteen (16) hooks shall be load tested to a proof load of 3,000 pounds in accordance with note 3. Load test paperwork shall be provided at time of delivery.� These hooks shall be assembled into the Recovery Pole Assembly (1602446). The contractor shall fabricate sixteen (16) Recovery Pole Assemblies (1602446) without the pole and the shackle.
