- This is a Sources Sought announcement only this is not a Request for Proposal or Quote. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified vendors with capabilities to perform 24/7 MOD-Hospitalist and Urgent Care Physician Staffing Services to VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System (VAFLHCS) located in the rural Southern Tier Region of New York State. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, and the VAFLHCS anticipate the award of a firm fixed price contract approximately 4/1/2021 for the following services: The Contractor shall schedule and provide 9,024 hours (4.35 FTE) of 24/7 Hospitalist coverage. Hospitalist shall be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine for performance of Hospitalist Physician Services. Contractor will be responsible for providing a credentialed pool of candidates of no less than 8.0 FTE in order to fulfill the requirements in the performance work statement (PWS). Contract Hospitalists shall meet or exceed the American Board of Internal Medicine Guidelines http://www.abim.org. In addition to providing suitable Hospitalists, contractor shall provide a contract Physician Director who is actively providing care at the Bath VA Medical Center and will be available to participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the VAMC Chief of Staff. The Physician Director will act as conduit between the Chief of Staff and all contract Hospitalists. The Contract Physician Director must be knowledgeable of VA processes, procedure and policy and have a minimum of 5-years recent experience working at a VA facility. It is anticipated that the Physician Director will be required to be on-site for 300 hours annually. The Contractor shall schedule and provide 5,610 hours (2.7 FTE) of Urgent Care Physician (UCC) coverage. Physician shall be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine for the performance of contracted services. Contractor will be responsible for providing a credentialed pool of candidates of no less than 5.0 FTE in order to fulfill the requirements of the performance work statement (PWS).
