Description

Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Knox, KY intends to award a sole-source contract with Johnson Controls Security Solutions LLC (JCI), 3601 Eisenhower Ave, Ste 300, Alexandria, VA 22304. The requirement is for the emergency repair and install replacement CCure Access Control Panel and connect/reprogram existing system components due to a lightning strike. Period of Performance is 15 days after award. The NAICS code is 561621. The authority for this noncompetitive award is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses by email at Gina.M.Kern.civ@mail.mil are received by 11:00 am EDT on 12 August 2021, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
