Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24221B0067, Project Number 620-14-104 Building 29 Roof Replacement and Tuckpointing at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, Montrose Campus, 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, New York 10548. This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220 and has a size standard of $39.5 Million. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to complete Project #620-14-104 Building 29 Roof Replacement and Limited Masonry Repointing at FDR, Montrose Campus. The contractor shall adhere to all accompanying drawings, specifications, and any local and federal codes, regulations, and procedures that apply. Work shall include, but not be limited to, completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Building 16 MRI Replacement as required by drawings and specifications. Project will involve but not be limited to trades such as asbestos abatement, potential lead paint abatement, disposal of abatement wastes, masonry repairs, mortar repointing, pipe scaffold and containment barrier design, assembly, maintenance & removal, roof safety cable replacement, lightning protection system restoration, demolition (roof tile removals and deck repairs), vent and ventilation dormer replacement, metal fabrication where necessary, roof drain system repairs and relining of internal downspout, The work will be performed in an active and occupied work area and the contractor will be responsible for phasing the work activities to conform to the needs and ongoing site & staff activities at the Building 29 location. This will include the installation of egress sidewalk pedestrian protection work sheds and the development of Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) protocols. Additionally, there are work activities involving the limited masonry repointing and restoration at the Building 29 site will encompass areas at the ground floor level and will include but not be limited to the masonry wall areas at exterior pedestrian ramps and stairs at Building 29 which have exhibited deteriorating conditions requiring masonry repointing, masonry replacement, where necessary, and or a combination of repointing and restoration measures. The work will also entail the rehabilitation and restoration of the exterior stairway and associated elements at the rear of Building 29. The project will potentially entail work protocols that would be affected by seasonal temperatures and weather limitations that would impact the project schedule due to manufacturer or workmanship requirements for the specific application and installation of materials. The General Contractor shall plan accordingly for this weather specific potential to ensure the successful installations of materials and systems. It would be the responsibility of the General Contractor to outline any potential work stoppages due to these conditions in their formal work schedule to be submitted for the project. At the conclusion of the roof replacement and limited masonry repair work, all site areas affected by these activities must be restored to their original conditions. Project Completion: 365 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.beta.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about August 25, 2021. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be in hardcopies unless directed otherwise. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov , www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet) and be registered and verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
