Description
The Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Ave Syracuse, NY 13210, intends to release an invitation for bid (IFB) numbered 36C242-21-B-0060 Project No. 528A7-18-717 Renovate Front Entrance on or about 29 July 2021 This renovation will consist of approximately 4,000± SF of work within the Medical Center. It will also consist of the erection of a new Guard Shack and Canopy located at the Front Entrance of the Medical Center and all associated Site Work, as well as Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing work. The renovation will create one (1) new Guard Shack and associated Wheelchair Storage area, it will include the erection of a Canopy, it will update the Vestibule of the Front Entrance, the Health Benefits Waiting area, the Volunteer Service Desk and the Police Reception area. Performance Period: The duration of this project is not to exceed 255 days. Submittals to be completed in 60 days. Exterior Work Area (Phase I) is to be completed in 120 days. Interior Vestibule Area (Phase II) is to be completed in 45 days. Upper Waiting Area (Phase III) is to be completed in 30 days. The completion of the Phases do not need to be completed sequentially, the Contractor is to coordinate with the VA the order of phasing that uses the greatest construction sense. The project proposes to be completed in three phases and will affect 4,000± SF of space within the Medical Center as well as the exterior portion of the Medical Center to erect a Guard Shack and canopy. These area will be demoed to include but not limited to the removal of all components of the existing flooring, select partitions, doors and hardware, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and all components of the ceiling system. New work will include the erection of a Fire Doors as well as a revolving door, the relocation of an Electrical Panel and Utility Closet, the erection of a built in Service Desk, and a new reception wall for the Police Department, the erection of a new Guard Shack and wheelchair storage room along with an erection of a canopy. All new work will include all site, structural, mechanical, architectural, electrical, plumbing work per the Contract Drawings. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220. THIS IS 100% set aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) PROCUREMENT. The offeror must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) under the applicable NAICS at time of offer and time of award. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 The firms are required to self-perform 15% of the work and will be required to show in detail the breakdown to be submitted with the bid. Firms will also be required to supply the EMR rating at time of bid. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. A 20% Bid Bond will be required and must be submitted with the bid. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full IFB will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (https://beta.sam.gov/) contract opportunities. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203
