Description
The Department of Veterans Affair Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama s Wallace Tumor institute is seeking an equipment, GloMax Explorer Luminometer Fluorescence, requested for reading fluorescence from liquid samples in multicell format with rapid accuracy and precision. Characteristics: Instrument Specifications Detection Modes Luminescence, Fluorescence Intensity and Visible Absorbance Read Type Glow, Flash, Kinetic, Repeat Sample Format 6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, 96- and 384-well plates Tablet PC Windows® 8.1 or 10 Tablet PC with USB connection to instrument, wireless connectivity to local network; export to network, cloud or USB flash drive Read Speed 96-well plate: less than 1 minute 384-well plate: less than 3 minutes Automation Compatibility Hardware and software accessible to third-party hardware/software control Power Requirements 100 240V AC, 50/60Hz Luminescence Module Specifications: Detector Top-reading, head-on photon-counting photomultiplier tube (PMT) Wavelength Range 350 700nm Detection Limit 3 × 10 21 moles of luciferase Linear Dynamic Range 9 logs Cross Talk Less than 3 × 10 5 Fluorescence Module Specifications: Detector PIN photodiode Light Source Wavelength-matched LED Read Position Top-reading Wavelength Selection Filter paddle with 5 standard excitation and emission filters. Security clearance is not required. Installation of the system will be provided by certified representative, however no access to VA network will be needed at any time. The system will not be connected to the VA network. It is a stand-alone system used for scientific computing. This is a Sources Sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 334516. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue this RFQ as a Brand Name or Equal requirement in accordance with VAAR Clause 852.211-73 on eBuy or Fed Biz Ops. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office than no later than Wednesday, August 17. 2021, 12:00 PM EST.
