- The MCIEast Satellite Contracting Office aboard Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS)�Cherry Point, NC 28533, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC (CAGE: 1DUR9) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the on-site evaluation and repair of one (1) Zeiss Prismo Ultra Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for a performance period of thirty (30) days after award.� Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology, LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Prismo Ultra CMM.� Market research has revealed that the OEM does not use third party servicers to perform this requirement.� THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.� However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
