Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD This is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals.� This is not a solicitation.� The USDA/Agricultural Research Service (ARS) will award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to LGC Genomics, LLC under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b).� The purpose of this order is to provide the following to support the USDA/ARS/SEA, Plant Science Research Unit, Raleigh, NC location. A 12-month service contract for�MERIDIAN 1 Channel Liquid Dispensing System�serial#02-00058. A 12-month service contract for�OKTOPURE Automated DNA Extraction System�serial#09-00112. Service contracts should include a preventative maintenance inspection of the instrument, re-assembly & calibration of the instrument, upgrade of any software to the current production status as can be done without a hardware or operating system upgrade, replacement of any manufacturer authorized replacement parts and component(s) that have failed or are otherwise defective during normal operation of the instrument, and unlimited service visits during the Term (12-months) including labor and travel expenses as performed by contractor.� Any additional applicable fees. Period of Performance for service contracts listed above:� 09/01/2021-08/31/2022. Responsible sources may submit technical capability statement along with business profile to Contract Specialist, Monte Jordan at monte.jordan@usda.gov no later than 3:00 p.m. CDT, Monday, August 16, 2021, which shall be considered by the agency. Any information received will be treated as market research information for future of same or similar requirements. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror�s ability to meet all requirements.
