Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for a 12-month base and (4) annual option years with Physics Consultants, INC. (PCI), Portland ME 04103 to obtain periodically inspect x-ray equipment and other medical equipment as required by State regulations, JCAHO, and other accredited certification bodies. All inspections are performed under supervision of a radiological physicist certified by the American Board of Radiology and the State of Maine. This is a follow-on contract to PCI s previous contract VA241-16-P-1035. Since the intent is to procure this on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps (FBO). The applicable NAICS code is 541690 with a $16.5 MIL size standard. The PSC is H365. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
