Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command � New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of the Project Manager-Close Combat Systems (PM-CCS), intends to issue a solicitation for the production and delivery of the XM343 Standoff Activated Volcano Obstacle (SAVO) Tactical Base Plates, SAVO Training, Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) and spare parts. The XM343 Standoff Activated Volcano Obstacle (SAVO) is a system consisting of a ground based tactical base plate (dispenser) that utilizes fielded initiation systems (M7 Spider, Remote Activation Munition System (RAMS), or Blasting Machine) to launch Bottom Attack (BA) anti- vehicle (AV) and anti-personnel (AP) mines from fielded M87 and M87A1 tactical Volcano canisters, and inert mines from M88 practice canisters. The Government intends to fulfill this requirement via a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a period of performance of five (5) years. The contract will be executed with Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), 4700 Nathan Lane North Plymouth, Minnesota 55442, pursuant to Title 10 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The redacted Justification and Approval (J&A) document will be posted no later than 14 days after contract award as required by FAR 6.305.� It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued on or about fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this announcement. A proposal will be required within forty-five (45) calendar days from issuance of the solicitation.� This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP)/Solicitation nor should it be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Any information provided to the Government in response to this notice will become Government property and will not be returned.
